18 : Within Earshot

Peter glanced at Hoodie while listening to the exchange between Black Dog and Belisa Doryan. The captain was adamant about not handing over their passenger, even in the face of such opposition. His demeanour was calm and even warm towards the woman. She on the other hand was cold and unforgiving. Belisa emanated serious intent. 

"I don't like her." The blond boy stated. Hoodie was pensive after the comment. 

"I don't like why she's here. I think she has a very strict personal code and if we test her she will exact a price for stepping across that boundary. Her goal directly conflicts with Black Dog's personal code.

"That is what worries me."

"We should let her take him."

Hoodie shot a scathing glance at Peter. "That's like asking Nibbler to dress like some coreworld heiress. It's against his nature."

Peter clamped his mouth shut and felt like an imbecile. He understood of course but wanted the situation over nonetheless.
