Batman #5

Setting: wayne manor gardens.

Bruce is setting up games and sleeping areas for the Sleepover he has for the kids in his foster Care system.

Games like corn hole, a bouncy house bubble tables, and three legged races are set up and shown in individual frames.

Since the weather is warm he is even setting up a sleeping area outside in the center of his hedge maze for night time for the kids who want to sleep outside.

Alfred is helping while training the super pups.

Bruce: okay the sleeping area is all set up let's check on-

A woosh happens as Clark shows up behind him

Bruce: sigh.

Bruce turns to see Clark is grinning like a mischievous idiot.

Bruce: kal. I take it as your meeting with your editor went well?

Clark: *laughing* oh no. He hated it. But it was so popular with the other staff it got pushed through to the website. You should have seen the look on his face when it became the most viewed story on the site.

Bruce: So I guess that's gonna be a regular thing for you now?

Clark uses his powers to help out with set up as they talk.

Clark: I would be disappointed if I didn’t.

Bruce: Well I'm sure the kids are gonna give you a run for your money. So… how’s it going with miss lois?

Clark freezes and blushes giving bruce a look.

Clark: the woman scares me more and more every day.

Bruce: so your still too chicken to ask her?

Clark smacks bruce walking past him to get to decorations that need setting up.

Clark: not true. I have gone on a date with lois.

Bruce: Oh please, your romantic interview doesn’t count. Besides if i recall she pestered you into it. Clark, you need to ask her on a date. You have been pining over her since you started your internship as a freshman.

Clark: I know. But you don't know what it’s like to like a girl who's obsessed with outing your secret identity.

Bruce smacks him upside the head for being dumb.

Bruce: Look at who you're talking to. That is a lie and you know it. Besides you and I both found out the hard way that Lois knows when to keep a secret. 

Clark: Yeah, you're right. Of course you're right. But how would i go about it? Every time i think about asking her I get… 

Clark gets distracted and accidentally crushed a stack of paper cups.

Bruce: *sighs* look. Tell ya what. Its been long enough you need a wing man.

Clarks expression changes

Bruce: oh dont give me that look clark. You need to just ask lois out and get it over with and I’ll help. I’ll give you and lois invitations to the next charity gala I hold for the kids. Just so you two have a chance to talk and ill even signal you the perfect time to ask her out. You just need to relax kal.

they are done setting up and clark sighs. Knowing bruce was right.

Clark: yeah… okay. Thanks. I appreciate it. Is there anything else you need me to do before I make myself scarce bruce?

Clark and bruce walk through the mansion.

Bruce: A couple things actually. Firstly, I need you to use your reporter skills and find some things out about dick grayson. And lastly…

They arrive at the dog kennels for the wayne bulls breeding.

Bruce: I’m gonna need you to watch the super pups for me for the night. The newer kid dick grayson is a curious kid and I don't wanna risk the kids around the pups until they get a better handle on their powers.

Clark nods and agrees, leaving the mansion with a bunch of puppies on leashes.
