Stories are often expected to conform—to established structures, to familiar arcs, to ideas of what is finished or unfinished. This one does not.

What you are about to read does not seek to guide you toward a conclusion. It does not define its characters, its ideas, or even its world in the ways you might expect. Instead, it invites you to experience it as it is—on its own terms, not yours.

You will notice that Pan is written with gender-irrelevant language. This is intentional. Pan is not confined to a fixed identity, allowing you to imagine them as suits you. That perception may shift as you read, and if it does, the book has already done its work.

This is not a story that asks for judgment. It is a story that asks for understanding.

How you choose to engage with it. What you take from it. Will be entirely your own.
