Name: Suthami – Misty Veil
Type: Concealment / Evasion
Lore:
A spell of gentle concealment conjures a cool ground fog. Shrouds the Wáni and their allies to give them cover. It’s favored for stealth, evasion, or creating a calming, mysterious atmosphere.
Components:
Shard: Mísho Shard
Instrument: Pávo
Emotion Focus: Reflective, tranquil calm and gentle patience.
Wáni State: Calm and focused; strong emotions can distort or weaken the mist.
Weaving:
Wáni plays a slow, flowing song sliding and drifting like a gentle breeze. Their fingers trace slow circles over the Ocarina. The song releases a shimmering bluish ribbon that drapes downward. The ribbon unfurls into a fine, pale mist that spreads across the ground. Mist cloaks the area in a gentle fog. The temperature subtly shifts, cooling and muffling sound.
(Note: The melody’s slow, flowing nature is key; haste or agitation disperses the mist.)
Effects:
Creates a 10-foot radius of fog for up to 15 minutes.
Slightly cools overheated bodies or tempers.
Provides concealment and muffles sound, aiding stealth or escape.
Limits & Risks:
Strong winds or turbulence can tear apart the fog.
Best in cool or still air; hot or windy conditions weaken the effect.
Overuse can cause the Wáni to feel faint or chilled.
Manifest:
A faint, bluish shimmer flows from the bracelet, forming a drifting cloud of pale mist. The mist softly swirls and settles, obscuring vision and muffling sounds within its radius.
Additional Notes:
Best cast in calm, cool environments.
Useful for stealth, escape, or calming heated situations.
