A soulforged is a construct inhabited by one or more souls. They can be anything from animated suits of armor to doll-like constructs and are always very obviously a fabricated body of some sort. They are created or forged by a spellcaster, not born.
Soulforged are a rare sight anywhere in Aldwa. It is unusual to see more than one or two in one place.

Composition
A soulforged is a spirit that inhabits a fabricated body. Although their flesh is long gone, they are still affected by sickness and other such maladies; it is thought that their minds replicate the symptoms their bodies can no longer feel. Their body parts are not interchangeable and are specific to the spell used in their creation.
Some soulforged remember pieces of their lives before they were forged; most have no recollection whatsoever.
History
Soulforged have existed since before the Sundering. Although the records of their creation were lost in the Sundering, the means of making them were not.

Ultimate Sacrifice
After the Sundering, Pelolia retreated to the vaulted city of Aumun. During a year of particularly difficult famine, a number of Pelolians made the ultimate sacrifice in order to extend their dwindling supplies: they became soulforged.
