Jatziri

Jatziri are 1-2 meter tall species of social insects like ants, wasps, termites, or bees. They wander almost constantly foraging for food, stopping only in winter to hibernate. Anything that isn’t Jatziri is food for Jatziri. The colony is made up of several different types of bug, including numerous workers, diligent and alert soldiers, and queens and supplementary reproductives. All Jatziri have a nasty bite and acid sting, but it's their ability to cooperate that truly makes them deadly.   The Kafervolk Caravan have found a way to use alchemy to hide their presence from the colony. With the right mixture, a person can alter their scent so that they appear to be a Jatziri, allowing them to lure the flow of the swarm away from permanent settlements.
