The Drakari are an ancient species descended from dragons. They are unmistakable in appearance: all Drakari have horns and are often covered in scales. Despite popular rumors, not all Drakari have tails.

Biology
Drakari are born from eggs. The shells are tough, and hatchlings require assistance to claw their way out. In some areas, hatching day is synonymous with the clubs required to crack the most stubborn of eggs.
Drakari shed their skin two to four times per year. The process is itchy and uncomfortable. Older drakari may stop going through the effort of shedding as they age.
History
Drakari have existed since before the Sundering. The stories claim that drakari are descended from dragons. Descriptions of these creatures are culturally dependent; the only thing each culture agrees upon is that dragons themselves are extinct. For some drakari, their lineage is a point of pride: they come from greatness.

Skin Spas
A few enterprising folks in Piccarda have opened a drakari spa, focusing on helping them shed their skin. Its popularity has inspired several such spas in other locales. The skin is sold as a delicacy in some parts of the world and is popular with tidewalkers.
The Shellcrusher
Zephyrak, the first High Jarl of the Marshhelm League and the Slayer of the Beast, was a drakari.
